Product Videos of the Future?

April 18, 2025

A few quick notes from the intersection of AI, marketing, branding, and small business.

The future of product videos? Check out this short video posted by Happiness Lubimbi on LinkedIn. It’s a video variation on the action hero in a blister pack meme that’s been going around. What struck me about this was how it could be used as a template for product videos. It hasn’t made much sense for small businesses to produce high-quality, creative product videos. Same goes for low-cost products. From this example, however, it looks like you’ll you able to create fun, engaging product videos over a weekend even for SKUs at low price points. Lubimbi uses ChatGPT and Kling.ai, but many more tool options are coming. See Riley Brown’s thoughts on LinkedIn.

AI marketing automation for small business. Small businesses are adopting AI-powered platforms like XALON (see their press release) to automate marketing tasks such as lead follow-up, email sequences, chatbots, and branded client portals. These tools, once exclusive to large enterprises, now allow small businesses to launch sophisticated, automated marketing systems quickly. Here’s a take from University of North Dakota.

Ultra efficient AI content creation. The use of AI tools such as StoryChief, Jasper AI, and Writesonic is accelerating, enabling small businesses to efficiently produce high-quality, multi-channel content. DesignRush evaluates the field in this article. In addition to sheer speed, these platforms can help maintain message consistency, optimize for SEO, and tailor messaging to different audiences, making content marketing more effective and less resource-intensive.
