A few quick notes from the intersection of AI, marketing, branding, and small business.
30 AI marketing tools. Check out this list of AI marketing tools from the Hootsuite blog. Tool categories include overall, social media, copywriting, content marketing, advertising, email, SEO, editing, and automation. It’s an excellent resource for small businesses. Published in January 2025, I found this post was a quick way to survey the field of AI tools. Of course Hootsuite ranked itself as the number one overall AI tool for markers. Brands will be brands.
Market trends, consumer behavior, and automation. AI-powered predictive analytics allow brands to forecast consumer behavior and market trends. Segmented consumer journeys and market reports can—with careful prompting—be generated in seconds rather than weeks (and often at great cost). Just make sure to double check the work and strip out any AI hallucinations. Marketers including small businesses are also using AI to flash-analyze potential campaign performance. ChatGPT, Claude and others can be used right now as virtual focus groups, optimizing messaging and targeting for better results. Those better results, however, will only arrive by using careful prompting over multiple steps vs trying to do it all in one prompt. Here’s a video with lots of prompting tips.
Visual search is growing fast. Visual search capabilities, supported by AI tools like Google Lens and Pinterest Lens, are gaining traction. These technologies allow consumers to search using images instead of text, offering a more intuitive shopping experience. This trend is particularly appealing to younger demographics and is expected to grow significantly. More here.
